COVID-19 Vaccine:

The staff at Family Medicine Associates is committed to doing all we can to assist the state in getting our community vaccinated as soon as possible.  We will update this website with any additional information as it becomes available.  The following websites can provide additional information:

Douglas County launches COVID-19 Vaccine Interest Form to aid planning

Residents can identify the phase they would qualify for and how they want to be notified
LAWRENCE – As Douglas County has entered Phase 2 of vaccinations, residents can complete a survey at The form allows residents to indicate their interest in receiving the vaccine and how they want to be notified when vaccine becomes available. They will then be notified when appointments become available with instructions about how to sign up.
Phase 2 includes those 65 and older among others. See a complete list at and The interest form will help identify individuals who qualify for future phases as well.
Completing the survey does not create an appointment or reserve a vaccine, but it will help planners identify which phase individuals qualify for and help streamline the notification and scheduling process as more vaccine doses become available.

Serving You Safely!

Family Medicine Associates is asking all patients to use remote check in.  This process applies to every visit type including already scheduled appointments, same day appointments, lab visits and walk in services.   Patients call from their vehicles when they arrive.  We check you in and call you when your provider is ready.   Remote check in eliminates waiting in the reception area – keeping everyone a little safer. Upon arrival, call 785-830-0100, Option 1 and we will take it from there.
We have several options for patients to stay safe and continue to receive the care they need.
  • TeleHealth – some patient visits can be done through video chat.  All you need is a phone with camera capabilities, tablet or computer with a microphone and camera.
  • In Car Care – our nurses and providers can meet with you from your car if needed vitals or other hands-on care is required.
  • Phone consultations – some issues can be managed over the phone and our PAL desk is ready to take your call to consult with you on your situation.
  • On-Call Care – As always our providers are on call for urgent issues that come up after hours.

For these options and others, call our main number at 785-830-0100 and speak with one of our medical scheduling staff.  We look forward to speaking with you.
